This is a very scenic, summer high-altitude trek. Starting from the Prini roadhead, the trek winds through lush green valleys, high-altitude meadows and dazzling landscapes. To keep you company, are the peaks of the region –Muker-bay, Shiker- bay, Ladakhi, Friendship, Indrasan, Inderkilla and Hanuman Tibba. For the shutterbugs, the trek provides an ideal opportunity to go berserk. Leaving the Manali valley, the trek proceeds through evergreen cool forests of walnut, oak and the occasional alder. The view of the entire Kullu valley that is glimpsed all along the trail is excellent. Once atop the Bhrigu Lake (4235m), another spectacular panorama of peaks appears, but this time in the stark upper valley. You also see some good waterfalls and a number of lakes (Mountain tarn) on this trek also known as the circular trek. The Lake makes for excellent photographic opportunity and the Nature trail beyond Moridugh till Kulang village provide the refreshing rest on the second day.
Bhrigu Lake: Close enough to habitation, yet in a secluded, lush green dale, the Bhrigu Lake is at an altitude of 4235 meters. It lies east of the Rohtang Pass and passage is through the village of Gulaba Campsite. It also lies on several trek routes of the region. The shores of this clear water lake are visited regularly by the people of the area and are held sacred to ‘Rishi’ Bhrigu.
